Initial results begin appearing after about 24 hours, with accuracy improving as the test continues.

In Canada, radon is measured in Bq/m³ (becquerels per cubic metre).Below 200 Bq/m³:
Health Canada does not recommend immediate mitigation. You may choose to improve ventilation in the lowest level of your home (when weather allows) and continue testing every two years to monitor changes.Above 200 Bq/m³:
Health Canada recommends taking steps to reduce radon levels. Professional mitigation is the most effective way to significantly lower indoor radon.Radon levels fluctuate daily and seasonally. Longer-term testing provides a more accurate average.
Need Radon Mitigation?
If your results show elevated radon levels, or you are not comfortable with your exposure, you may wish to explore radon mitigation options.Radon mitigation is a professional process designed to reduce radon levels in your home. The most common method uses a pipe-and-fan system to safely draw radon gas from beneath the home and vent it outside.As part of the process, certified professionals also seal cracks, gaps, and small openings in the foundation to help limit how much radon can enter and to improve the system’s effectiveness.
Mitigation is a separate service and should always be performed by a C-NRPP certified radon mitigation professional.
